Lara and Mirja have teamed together to offer a combination of two ancient therapeutic and relaxing practices.

Spiritual masters of the past knew the secrets of how to live harmonious, happy lives, accepting the natural flow of life. We will be using some of their tools to start achieving the same in this workshop.

Most of us live a prominently Yang lifestyle, not just work but including leisure activities, social pressures and family demands. This is your opportunity let your whole being restore, rejuvenate and renew for spring.

This workshop offers you a two hour Yin Yoga sweetness followed by an hour of Gong Bath bliss.

If you are new to Yin yoga here are some things you can expect:

* Yin yoga can help you become more resilient to stress.

Surrender and acceptance are central themes in Yin yoga, teaching us that we don’t have to control every situation. With practice we learn to let go of creating stress in our lives.

* Yin yoga revitalises the tissues of the body.

Long held poses will help hydrate bodily tissues as you slowly open deeper into the pose, releasing tightness. You will come out feeling that you’ve had a deep tissue massage.

* Yin Yoga restores the body’s range of motion.

As we release, twist and compress tissues in a moderate way in long held poses, adhesion caused by ageing, injury or habitual bad posture can be released.

* Yin yoga practice forces you to slow down.

When you move into stillness of the poses, your to-do lists will fade and leaving space for rest and renewal.

*Yin Yoga gives an opportunity to sit with our emotions.

Emotions are stored in the body. During the practice of creating space and release, these, even the painful ones may come to the surface. Yin teaches us to be patient, gentle, nonreactive and feel safe.

*Yin yoga stillness primes us for meditation.

When we cultivate stillness in the body, perfect conditions are set for the mind to become quiet too. With yin yoga we don't even need to practice meditation, but sometimes meditation finds us. When the mind becomes quiet, we will see our true selves.

About Gong Bath:

Gongs have been used for thousands of years by ancient civilisations. The
sounds and vibrations ‘bathe’ the body, releasing blockages and allowing energy to flow freely.

Gong Baths can help with numerous issues such as tension, stress. Sound can penetrate where other therapies can’t, making people feel relaxed and re-energised.

This is a non-invasive therapy. In a Gong Bath session, you keep your clothes on and snuggle up with blankets and pillows, as if you are going to sleep! All you have to do is relax, enjoy and let the sound wash over you. (No water or baths involved!).

A small snack and a cold drink: coconut water or smoothie to finish.

£25.00 for the whole experience plus £1.50 Yoga Studios online booking fee if applicable.
