A chance to delve deeper into this energy balancing practice.

This time we will explore how to find space in it's many meanings.
  • Spaciousness of the body, releasing tense areas in the network of connective tissues.
  • Space to discover subtle energies through breath, movement and relaxation, opening the energy pathways.
  • Space for yourself allowing time to discover and explore the stillness that the activity of the mind is concealing.

Here are some things that people experience during and after, within 24 hours of Yin practice.  It may have the same effect on you or something completely different.  

Physical:
Immediately after coming out of a pose: stiffness, fragility. warmth
Any time within 24 hours of the practice:
Spaciousness, increased mobility, ease of movement.

Energy:
The experiences are varied, but many people find a surge of energy 'Chi flooding' into the targeted areas immediately after coming out of the pose.  Many students have reported a surge of energy after an initial sense of fatigue a few hours after the end of practice.  For some people the energy level hike happens the following day. Yin things move slowly.

Emotions:
mental release, peace, bliss, sense of well-being.

As November is a very Yin time of the year, this time we are also including some yang sequences at the end of the practice.  They will be energising,  easy to follow flows to create balance on all levels of your being.

A small snack, coconut water and home made smoothies will be available at the end.
