This is a rare opportunity to experience two ancient holistic therapies in one session. Both work in a similar way despite being totally different experiences. Both Yoga and Gongs have been used for thousands of years to allow healing energy to flow freely around the body.
Yin Yoga
If you are already practising Yin yoga you will find this workshop a wonderful opportunity to allow time to go deeper into this beautiful style of yoga.
For those who are new to Yin yoga, this workshop gives an introduction to the many benefits of this style of yoga and a chance to practise in a space without daily distractions.
For everyone, this is an opportunity to move away from the daily routines, thinking patterns and explore the body and inner landscapes.
Yin yoga is a practice that complements any physical activity, especially the more dynamic, yang styles of yoga as well as running, team sports and gym workouts. To get the most out of any exercise, long held, yin style poses need to be included to reduce tightness.
Apart from the numerous physical benefits, yin practice also helps remove blockages in the energy system, promoting healing. By targeting yin tissue in the practice, greater level of hydration is achieved in both joints and other connective tissue. This is a part of the rejuvenating quality to this practice. Finding stillness within is the greatest gift any style of yoga can offer. You can find that in yin yoga practice.
Come and join us to find out more. There will be an introduction to the background of yin yoga, it’s benefits and why everyone should practise. Most of the time will be spent in practice.
Staying still, present to your breath and open to everything that comes up, you give yourself a rare chance to discover what yoga is. You will go home refreshed, de-stressed, calm and with a sense of clarity and wellbeing.

Gong Bath
A gong bath is a deeply relaxing experience allowing the mind and body to relax and re-charge. The sounds of the gongs “wash” over the body, “bathing” you in soothing sounds and vibrations , leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. There is no water involved and you remain fully clothed for the experience. There is no movement or exercise for yourself, you just lie back and relax!
Gongs have been used for thousands of years by ancient civilisations. The
sounds and vibrations ‘bathe’ the body, releasing blockages and allowing energy to flow freely.
Gong Baths can help with numerous issues such as tension, stress. Sound can penetrate where other therapies can’t, making people feel relaxed and re-energised.
Lara Cockayne is our Gong Therapist who is leadings us to the magical experience of a sound bath using her gongs.
