Yin Yoga Workshop
11th November 2018
10:00 - 13:00
The Yoga Studios, Ringwood Road, Poole
FULLY BOOKED ... LOOK OUT FOR THE NEXT ONE IN FEBRUARY
Enjoy this 3 hour-long workshop and practice that spends five delicious minutes with every pose. Breathe deeply, relax your body and take the time to sink into the opening within each asana.
You will discover how to start connecting directly to your energy and to start dwelling in peace. There will be some music, stories and philosophical quotes to help you stay focused in the poses.
My aim is to inspire you to start taking time for yourself to be in stillness, returning to the source. Yin style of yoga complements perfectly more dynamic and rigorous styles of yoga. All yin postures are designed to balance, calm, recharge and repair the body. Through the prolonged holds the body will grow more supple. Regular practice will free the body to move effortlessly and with grace and ease. Supported by props, bolsters, blocks and blankets, Yin poses will allow your entire body to stretch gently and release physical and mental blockages.
The workshop will start with a brief introduction to the origins of Yin yoga, why everyone should practice it and how to get the most out of it. I will introduce the benefits from the point of view of Eastern traditions as well as based on recent Western scientific research. In this section comments and questions are welcome. We’ll discover how Yin style will benefit your whole being physically, mentally, energetically, emotionally and spiritually. How to practice yin yoga is the subject of the final introductory section. This will include suggestion how to deal with the obstacles that arise.
The practice will calm you down immensely and leave you feeling grounded and centered in your body.
After the practice session, there will be time for sharing experiences, questions and a small snack and a cold drink.
£25.00
Post practice refreshments included.
